The Alliance of Yoruba Organizations and Clubs is the umbrella organization for all Yoruba Associations in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.

The objectives are:

• to foster the unity of all Yoruba organizations, clubs, and religious groups through collaborative activities in the United State and around the world

• to promote the economic, social, cultural and political empowerment of all Yoruba organizations and clubs through shared information and active engagement in the United States and around the world

• to maintain and enhance the good name and image of Yoruba people by promoting positive events that highlight community awareness of Yoruba accomplishments in the United States and around the world

• to actively organize and enthusiastically embrace events that foster the progressive development of Yoruba people in the United States and around the world

PREAMBLE

We, the Yoruba organizations in the United States of America, desiring to trust and create a common fellowship, firmly and solemnly resolve: to unite our strength and efforts in promoting the unity of all Yoruba organizations and clubs; to coordinate and intensify our cooperation; to achieve better dialogue, understanding and unity of purpose; to strengthen our collaboration and establish new objective and priorities, for the promotion of our economic, social, cultural, educational and political development.

We hereby constitute
